MUST TRY: Levain Boulangerie Patisserie

A quaint colonial bungalow converted into a French-style cafe serving soft and delicious Japanese-style breads, buns and hot food - that is Levain Boulangerie Patisserie!
SG foodie had the privilege of visiting this place a few times and must say that Levain is a place worth visiting. Levain is situated on Jalan Delima, a short drive away from the Bukit Bintang shopping belt. If you like SG foodie is fearful of crowds then you should avoid going there on weekends when everyone seems to head there for breakfast or brunch.
The best thing about Levain is that their breads and buns are baked in small batches throughout the day so that you are almost guaranteed to get them hot out of the oven. They shout out when fresh items are taken out of their stone oven that is supposed to be an element in creating those melt-in-your-mouth breads/buns. SG foodie personally like the mashed potato bun and the turkey ham & egg bun.
The breads/buns are priced between RM3-8 per piece and you'll definitely to be tempted to have more than 1! And if you love macaroons, SG foodie recommends the macaroons in Levain especially the Mango-Passionfruit ones. Macaroons are about RM4 per piece. The drinks list is not particularly impressive with the usual cafe offerings.
This is an eatin-out experience that you won't find in Singapore.
