AVERAGE: Cafe Lorong Seratus Tahun, SS2

Sorry this post does not have any photos as SG foodie visited it when she was already super-hungry and gobbled up the food before she remembered she should have taken photos for your eyes! Sorry!

So anyway SG foodie have driven past this place but never really noticed this cafe until DH pointed out that Lorong Seratus Tahun (1000 years street?) in Penang is supposedly popular for its curry mee and other good Penang food. So we drove in for a taste one late afternoon.

The orders were a curry mee, a char kway teow and an assam laksa. The curry mee arrived first and unfortunately wasn't too impressive, the soup was like prawn mee soup mixed with curry powder instead of real curry. The assam laksa made a hot impression, though at first bite you won't feel the burn yet! The char kway teow without cockles and chilli for K1 arrived last since it takes more time to be prepared and was not too bad.

In KL and its surrounding areas though, there are pretty good options for Penang food like Little Penang Cafe (one of Sg Foodie's favourite) at Mid-Valley and The Curve, Penang Flavours, etc...
