MUST TRY: Fish & Noodle House SS20/11

Someone told SG foodie about Fish & Noodle House in Damansara Kim, SS20 so SG foodie decided to give it a try this weekend. Arriving for a late lunch, SG foodie found the place at about 3:00pm and the shop was still full! SG foodie waited around for a bit for an empty table (especially with the recent hot weather, sitting outside without a fan nearby having soupy noodles would have turned SG foodie off).

While waiting for a table, SG foodie saw that there were a few newspaper reviews of the shop but as the reviews were in the Chinese media, SG foodie could only admire the photos =p

Got a table, sat down and the menu is relatively simple. Fish head, fish fillet, salmon fish fillet or fish paste bee hoon or soup with rice; soup with or without milk. DH got the fish head noodles without milk while SG foodie got the fish fillet noodles with milk. The food arrived after a short wait in HUGE beige bowls, cute!

The soup was absolutely fantastic! Not too salty, not too sweet with some shredded salted vegetable and shredded ginger. Both the soup with or without milk was splendid. SG foodie was glad she went for the fish fillet as she didn't have to deal with fish head bones. The fish fillets were fried nicely in batter and didn't become soggy in the soup either. The sourish sambal chilli paste that came with the noodles was a good accompaniment too.

Each bowl of noodles were between RM8-12, depending on what you order. SG foodie vowed she'd be back to try the salmon fish fillet as a side dish in the near future! Meanwhile it's a rush back for a cold shower and some air-conditioned comfort, for the hot, humid weather makes having soupy food almost impossible!
