Apologies if you've been wondering what happened to SG Foodie... she had been busy since 31 Dec 2011 with some family matters then got hit by the CNY festivities and other stuff along the way but she's BAaaaaaaCKkkkk! =)
Anyway so with the many things that were happening, SG Foodie sought out some comfort food to soothe her tired soul and landed herself at DOME Cafe at Ikano Power Centre (IPC) at Mutiara Damansara. DOME Cafe was one of SG Foodie's favourite when she was an undergrad in Australia and while SG Foodie has (ahem!) matured, it remains one of her favourite place to chill in and just enjoy some me-time.
So SG Foodie gamely ordered the beef pot pie and a cappucino for a quick lunch while waiting for her kids to finish up in school. What SG Foodie truly love about the hot drinks served at DOME is that they come with a two small pieces of crunchy-licious almond biscottis that is a divine companion for the cappucino or any hot drinks you are having.
After a short wait of 10 minutes, the beef pot pie was served with a thick layer of puff pastry baked to perfection covering the steaming hot beef stew with carrots and potatoes in a tall, toadstool-legged porcelain bowl, at the side, a crescent dish filled with sauted buttered mushroom, cherry tomatoes and snow peas - carb, proteins and fibre all in one dish - HEAVEN!!
SG Foodie was truly satiated!!! This is indeed comfort food at its very best!
